Kronplatz – Plan de Corones overview

With 114 km of slopes and 32 modern lifts, Kronplatz (2275m) is the mountain for sophisticated skiing and snowboarding. Its ample and sunny plateau and long ski runs all the way down to the valley in three cardinal directions are a real treat for sun lovers.
If required, Kronplatz may be equipped with artificial snow up to 100%. It offers only the highest quality skiing and snowboarding as well as a maximum level of safety on the slopes. Freeriders and freestylers will get their money’s worth at South Tyrol’s biggest. Several different areas and Kids’ Parks provide for a great deal of fun and variety for the little ones and are rounded off by the professional programmes of five local ski schools.
And no less than 30 ski huts serve culinary treats from both Alpine and Mediterranean cuisines in an atmosphere of typical mountain hospitality.

Kronplatz is also connected to the Dolomiti Superski resorts network: 1,200 km of slopes at the heart of the Dolomites. The bus at the valley station takes you in 20 minutes to Sompunt with connection to another big cult object for skiers: the Sella Ronda, the legendary round tour of the Sella Mountain!
An exciting news is represented by the new Ski – train that takes skiers through the Pustertal Valley to connect Kronplatz with the Ski area Dolomiti di Sesto. The new 7 km slope “Ried” leads right to the valley station of Perca, where the train departs every 30 mins.

Biathlon fans will love the world-famous Antholz valley but also the Gsieser valley, the spectacular high-altitude cross-country ski run up to the Würzjoch pass and the slope down into the Rautal valley, at the centre of the Dolomites: A total of over 236 km of ski runs to choose from leave nothing to be desired, for both active and relaxed cross-country skiing. There will also be a brand new track on top of the Kronplatz.

There’s also plenty of off-piste entertainment: snowshoe walking, torchlight hikes, sleigh rides, ice skating and ice hockey, sled races and many more.  And if you fancy some shopping, you should not miss Bruneck – the fascinating town with that special Alpine flair!
In a total of 14 villages around the Kronplatz ski resort, 1,000 traditional to modern accommodations ranging from simple, rustic B&Bs to 4-star spa resorts make for a truly enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
